5,000 years ago, cacao was born in the Amazon. Long before the world knew it, the Kichwa and Awajún nurtured and shared it. Pani Wayra – 'Sister Wind' – was born in this spirit. During a boat ride on the Huallaga River, my Kichwa friends gave me this name, seeing me as one of them, free like the wind. Just as the wind carries seeds and stories, Pani Wayra carries the value of cacao to the world.
I’m Anke Kaulard, a researcher since 2002, fascinated by Amazonian art chocolate. I work with artists, Indigenous women, and cacao cooperatives to strengthen their knowledge and culture.
This product embodies a deep commitment to the Amazon. With every indulgence, you support sustainable cacao farming in agroforestry systems – a livelihood that protects the forest.
